Teresa Porter was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. She is a dedicated wife, mother of three, a business owner, all while turning her dreams into reality. Teresa has worked in the health and fitness industry for over two decades as a massage therapist, yoga instructor, and emotional release practitioner. Teresa’s passion for yoga began in 1999 when she decided to take a couple of classes to attempt to alleviate the tension in her body she experienced from her job as a massage therapist. Not only did she love the instruction, but she left the class feeling relaxed, lighter, and less tense. After the birth of her first daughter, she had severe back problems. MRI’s and doctors could not provide either a diagnosis or a solution. Seeking answers, she decided to create her own healing path which included Yoga. She was amazed by the relief she felt in her back by combining Yoga with other modalities.
Teresa lives and breathes yoga because it has been a lifesaver and a reset for times that have been too dark to walk through. Her expertise will take you on a journey of self-awareness and learn how to use yoga as a toolbelt of solutions to reset your body and mind. She has seen firsthand how negative trapped emotions and lack of self-care contribute to physical and health issues, which has inspired her teaching style. She is a firm believer in teaching her students so that what you learn within the four corners of your mat can and will transform you in everyday life!
Teresa’s love and dedication to the craft make her a maven in the industry.
